Currently only about 10 % of the traffic to / from my main server is IPv6 traffic.

I'm not sure, but maybe that is because a significant amount of Mastodon servers do not speak IPv6? :-(

... Because (at least in Germany) we have a much higher percentage of IPv6 enabled clients. So I guess it's the servers' (server-to-server traffic) fault. 🤔


Probably some administrators don't care about appending AAAA records to their domains and give a fu** about IPv6 :-(

It's maybe not just the AAAA Resource Records. Maybe some simply don't know they have to whitelist ICMPv6 traffic on their firewall.
