When there is a Gedit window with a text file opened in the backgroud ... and I click to open another text file... it opens in gedit, but the Gedit window does not focus / come to the foreground / notify me.
This is always confusing. :(

Maybe not the only one but here gedit always focuses the new window/tab (GNOME 3.28.2/gedit 3.28.1).
@thomas I always assumed this is intended. Happens with all windows – maybe it is this "do not autofocus" of GNOME? (but it should display a notification then, at least…)
Or maybe you can raise a bug report/question on a mailing list?
