Went for a run the other day and came into contact with an alarming amount of anti-lockdown propaganda stickers. Whilst I don't enjoy or particularly care for the govt sanctioned lockdown, I do believe it is responsible for people to take a global pandemic seriously.
Not to mention there is an inordinate amount of focus on the lockdown and its' effects that ignores the responsibility the incumbent govt have in the situation.

Not to mention there was a lot of information floating around on how to effectively manage the situation. We didn't do too well. Track and trace was ineffective, and as a result we opened up the moment things looked like they might improve - they didn't.

In the meantime, govt communication on the issue was muddy, convoluted, and filled with clauses and exceptions. People were poorly informed about the efficacy of measures, why they were important, and how long these measures might be in force for.
This is easily shored up by lack of understanding of the stats. With no forecasting you are unable to make proper projections. It leaves the impression that decisions were made for PR, or when they were too important to ignore.

At the end of the day, as people, we can only do our best to look out for ourselves and those around us. But it is disappointing, though unsurprising, that anger is getting misdirected at the lockdown's/virus' veracity, rather than the paucity of measures taken.

One thing I have learned, though, that is pretty helpful, is that shitty cheap stickers are great for flyposting. They are more difficult to remove than the high quality prints because they fall apart easily. Label printers like the Brother 810 are being recommended and I see why. So, yeah, would be a pretty good solution for covering up these flyposts with something else.

Also, couldn't help noticing that at least one notable organisation attached to this movement has a gab account. I think that says enough really.
