@kosh Right, trust is a fragile construct, but there are more questionable behavior reports of Firefox than Opera or Vivaldi where both use Chromium as basic.
@Levenfort FF has the most momentum behind it, and it's open source which is pretty much a prerequisitve in my mind.
I agree that Mozilla has been doing somewhat questionable things like Pocket integration trying to monetize, but I still think it's the best alternative long term.
Ultimately, people can fork the project if Mozilla stops being trustworthy which wouldn't be possible with closed source alternatives.
Genuinely curious to know if we're sure the other browsers you mentioned aren't doing similar and are actually better. I hadn't heard about this before.
