I'll say that Object Oriented Programming was the software industry's biggest mistake since the invention of Microsoft Windows until I see a fully functional project with developer experience just as bad as writing tests atop of a >10 year old "inventive" Java code base. 🤬

@mur2501 It's true that money plays a big role in the story, but maybe not in that particular way. Actually, here is a great talk about one of my favorite topics, also explaining how Java became so widely adopted:
